B’nai Brith Canada condemns attack against Hamilton Mosque

TORONTO, January 5, 2010 – B’nai Brith Canada condemns yesterday’s vandalism and fire-bombing of The Hamilton Mosque. Early yesterday morning an incendiary device was set off in the principle’s office of the mosque’s school. Luckily, the blaze caused by the device burned itself out without causing any serious harm.

“The fire-bombing of any house of worship is despicable,” said Frank Dimant, Executive Vice President of B’nai Brith Canada. “We call on all levels of security and policing authorities to investigate this matter as a hate crime and cooperate in finding the perpetrators of this criminal act.”
