STOP THE HATE FESTS
ON CANADIAN UNIVERSITY CAMPUSES
Israel Apartheid Week takes place March 1 – 8, 2009. Organizers of this hate fest have announced that they are seeking to hold activities in the following Canadian cities: Edmonton, Fredericton, Hamilton, Kingston, Montreal, Ottawa, Peterborough, Toronto, Vancouver, and Waterloo.
Below is a listing to date of universities where Israel Apartheid Week events have been scheduled. We urge you to write letters to the presidents of these Canadian universities to request that they demonstrate leadership by not allowing their premises to be used for the promotion of hate. Please copy B’nai Brith on your letter to the president. This letter can be written as a parent, student, alumnus, funder, or concerned Canadian.
Although no venue has yet to be announced for McMaster University, which had participated last year, we have heard directly from students that plans are already underway. We will keep you informed as soon as these are confirmed and will monitor future IAW announcements of additional venues.
